National Agricultural Co-operative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED)

NAFED was established in 1958 with the object to promote Co-operative marketing of Agricultural produce to benefit the farmers. They have the head office at Delhi with branches at North, West, East and South zones which comprise of Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad etc. They are one among the nominated Central Seed Production Agency by Department of Agriculture Cooperation and Farmers Welfare.

TANHOPE is the registered primary Horticultural Co-operative Society at Chennai to promote and encourage the development of Horticulture crops. They facilitate Joint venture Initiatives to help the farmers to market their produce and to get reasonable price. They have 3 Self Help Groups: Annapoorani Women Self Help Group- which prepares ready mix food items, Mahalakshmi Self Help Group- involved in making agricultural products like vermicompost and panchagavya, Vanavil Self Help Group- trained to make different types of vadam and paper bags.
